Amanda Russo is a transactional business and estate planning attorney.  Amanda counsels small and medium-size businesses by advising and assisting business owners with a myriad of tasks to develop and run their operations efficiently and effectively.  She also enjoys helping families and individuals plan for their futures through estate planning and when needed, helping them through the difficulties involved with the death of a loved one.

Experience

Amanda Russo understands how devastating litigation can be to any business.  Even a successful result requires expending substantial time and resources which detracts from profitable endeavors the business could otherwise devote those resources towards.

While litigation may be viewed as a necessary evil in the business world, Amanda’s goal is to help her clients avoid or mitigate lawsuits with proactive and thoughtful planning.  While carefully crafted contracts do not always prevent lawsuits, favorable terms certainly serve as a valuable tool in both defense, and disincentivizing disputes from the outset.

From advising new businesses on entity formation, to negotiating an acquisition or sale of the business and everything in between, Amanda and her clients work together to reach each client’s unique goals.  She advises and prepares agreements for the governance of internal affairs, either for the entity itself, between owners, or between the company and its employees.  Amanda drafts and reviews various contracts for the day-to-day needs of the business between its customers and third parties.  She understands how important it is to protect a company’s assets, both in the traditional sense as well as for intangible assets in the form of confidential information and trade secrets.

Through a comprehensive plan involving trusts, wills, and health and financial powers of attorney, Amanda also helps her clients see that incapacity and death planning provides a great service to one’s family. Amanda’s clients know that with a properly funded trust-centered plan, one can ensure their assets go to the beneficiaries of their choosing and in the manner they choose without going through probate.  Advance planning means that highly personal decisions can be put in place long before they may be needed which can save your loved ones from needing to make difficult decisions during an already difficult time.  Amanda also assists families in probate matters and trust administration when needed.

Whether a client’s net worth may require a complex plan to avoid or minimize their estate tax liability, or the client has a modest income with some children and a home they want to protect, Amanda knows those goals are worth protecting and tailors each client’s plan to suit their individual needs.
