For more than 30 years, Farid Novian has represented a wide variety of clients in business and real estate transactions and litigation.

Mr. Novian represents numerous business and real estate groups and individuals in the purchase, sale, leasing and financing of all types and sizes of real estate projects.

Experience

Mr. Novian’s expertise includes projects ranging from shopping centers to multifamily apartment buildings, mergers and acquisitions, ground leases, and development projects.  Mr. Novian is also adept at the formation of legal entities and preparations of applicable partnership agreements that typically accompany such real estate projects.  In addition, Mr. Novian’s drafting and negotiation experience extends to agreements in various fields beyond real estate, such as employment, licensing, distribution, and marketing agreements.

Mr. Novian has also represented clients in various litigation matters, both in trial and at arbitration, relating to business, real estate, corporate dissolutions, controversies between competitors. and partnership disputes.

In 1988, the brother combination of Farid and Farhad founded Novian & Novian and has remained consistently strong players in the legal community since then.  For close to two decades, Farid has enjoyed recognition as an “AV” rated lawyer via the peer-review system established and administered by Martindale-Hubbell, with “AV” being the highest rating for “legal ability” and “faithful adherence to the professional standards of conduct and legal ethics of the legal profession, professional reliability and diligence . . . .”

Mr. Novian graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A., Political Science) in  1980 and received his law degree from Southwestern University (J.D.) in 1983. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
