Michelle L. Covington is a senior litigation associate with significant experience representing clients in both state and federal courts. Her well-rounded litigation skills come from years of diverse litigation work including corporate governance, complex litigation, labor and employment, partnership disputes, insurance coverage litigation, qui tam actions, and trade secret misappropriation. Michelle has been on multiple jury and bench trial teams and is familiar with all stages of litigation from inception to jury verdict. Michelle firmly believes that a strong offense is the best defense and earnestly takes every opportunity to advance the best possible outcome for her client. In addition to being a stellar litigator, Michelle is a skilled communicator and works closely with clients to promote a strategic, goal-oriented approach. Experience
Michelle was a litigation associate at Stris & Maher LLP and Weintraub Tobin Chediak Coleman Grodin LC in San Francisco, California. She received her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of law where she served as an Articles Editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law and a Publishing Editor for Ecology Law Quarterly. During law school, Michelle interned at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California for the Honorable Jon S. Tigar. She received her M.A. in philosophy from San Francisco State University and her B.A. in philosophy from UC Berkeley.
